INFORMATION
We only
accept reservations for coach services
if booked
in conjunction with reservations for
accommodation,
yacht charters or as part of a
customized tour.
Turkey has a very comprehensive and efficient luxury coach
service between all the main cities and towns. There are many coach companies,
most of which operate the same routes, so there is always plenty of choice.
For journeys longer than 10 hours, overnight services are available that
have reclining seats and plenty of leg room. All long distance coaches have
steward service, refreshments and toilet facilities, as well as frequent
stops to stretch your legs. The larger companies have their own rest tops
that provide refreshment at reasonable prices and first class facilities.
TIMETABLES
It is not feasible to include the timetables and routes covered by all
the coach companies here, the information below is therefore included as
a guide to approximate prices, times and durations. The details included
relate to coach services provided by the top two companies, whose record
of safety and service are the best in Turkey.
COACH
TERMINAL SHUTTLE SERVICES
In the larger cities it is not practical for the inter-city coaches
to go into the city center. For this reason, all the larger coach companies
operate free shuttle service buses between their city office to the main
'out of town' coach terminal. At the present time this only applies to Istanbul,
Izmir and Ankara. All information for shuttle bus connections are included
with our booking details.
RESERVATIONS
It is not necessary to pre-book coach journeys of up to 5 hours duration,
however we strongly recommend that reservations are made for longer journeys.
During the main tourist season between June and September and public holidays,
reservations are essential for all journeys.
