SECURE PAYMENT SYSTEMS
|Akbank World Collaborating Banks|
Banks that do not have an arrangement with the bank they are instructed to send funds to in another country sometimes make the transfer using an intermediary bank. Often the bank will not tell you this and the intermediary bank deducts their fee for their part in the transaction from the amount being transferred. As the sender you are liable for paying this fee.
Subsequently, if the amount we receive is less than the amount due it could delay the issue of tickets, vouchers or e-tickets and possibly result in the loss of the reservation.
To avoid or minimize the cost of your bank transfer, ensure that you instruct your bank to make a direct transfer to our bank in Turkey, [Akbank] if they are unable to do this and they have to use an intermediary bank, please ensure that they use one of the banks in your country that is a correspondent bank with our bank in Turkey.
In order to determine which banks in your country are correspondent banks to Akbank please use the search box on this webpage:https://www.akbank.com/en-us/Content/Pages/Correspondent-Banking.aspx
