USA Visitors
Welcome to Turkey
This page is actually for anyone who thinks they will not be welcome in Turkey. In particular it's for US citizens who since the events of September 11 2001 have avoided Turkey for any number of reasons, most of which are ill informed or just plain wrong.
US citizens have always been and still are welcome in Turkey. Prior to September 11 the number of US visitors was increasing every year and there is still no reason why this trend should not continue.
Those Americans who come to Turkey for the first time are always surprised by the warmth of the Turkish people and the welcome they receive, wherever they go. Most are also surprised by the level of safety they feel, indeed, crime in Turkey is so low compared to most US States that it's actually safer being here than staying at home. But don't just take our word for it, check out the stats on this website.
Turkey is a long way from the USA and it is understandable that many visitors making the journey take the opportunity to also visit our next door neighbor, Greece. For the first time, in 2008 we are now able to arrange a 7 day cruise departing weekly from the famous resort of Bodrum in Turkey to several Greek islands and Athens.
